Introducing Syngenta’s new strategy  

‘Thinking like a grower’ is at the heart of Syngenta's new strategy—driving us to look beyond individual farming challenges and take a more holistic approach in developing and delivering complete solutions.

Over the past 10 years, Syngenta has been able to establish itself as the world’s leading crop protection company and create a strong global seeds platform that is changing the scale and scope of our business.

The future of agriculture remains bright but we also recognise that if we are to achieve our ambition of assisting growers to improve their productivity in an environmentally sustainable way, then we need to think differently about how we approach this challenge.

On 9th February, Syngenta announced how we aim to support the achievement of greater food security by contributing to a step change in agricultural productivity, and in turn creating more value for our customers and growers alike.  We announced our intention to fully integrate our seeds and crop protection businesses globally.

Our aim in integration is to find new ways to drive innovation in how we enhance the performance of crops and to deliver innovative solutions tailored to meet the complex needs of growers in Australasia and around the world.
Syngenta is uniquely placed to deliver growers with integrated solutions which bring together our world-leading crop protection and seed care technologies, germplasm and traits. Our $1 billion annual R&D investment will also be optimised to ensure the success of our new strategy.

We still have a lot of work to do to deliver the integration and innovation which will bring our new strategy to life. We look forward to further sharing our progress on this transformation journey in the months ahead, and to sharing our successes in delivering Australasian growers with the integrated solutions required to grow their productivity, and to make an even greater contribution to food security within our region and beyond.
