Traxos Bike Gets Saskatchewan Grower’s Motor Running

Custom-built Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Given Away at Agri-Trade

November 25, 2011 - An open road is all Brent Wiebe from Herbert, Saskatchewan is looking for these days, as it was his name that was drawn from more than 1,800 contest entries as winner of the Traxos® Harley-Davidson® ST-Fat Boy® motorcycle. The custom-built motorcycle, which represents the power and speed of grass weed control provided by Traxos cereal herbicide, has been traveling Western Canada for the last year as part of the Believe the Power contest. For every 320 acres worth of Traxos growers purchased prior to July 31, 2011, they received a contest entry to win the bike.

“Traxos is fast, powerful and highly-effective, which is why a Harley-Davidson motorcycle is such an apt give-away,” said Jon Habok, Syngenta Canada Asset Lead for Cereals. “The traction Traxos herbicide has had in the marketplace has been exceptional, reflecting growers’ appreciation of the superior speed and level of control Traxos delivers on even the toughest grasses.”

A Group 1 herbicide, Traxos contains active ingredients pinoxaden and clodinafop, plus a unique, built-in adjuvant that activates and stabilizes the active ingredients. This improves the product’s absorption and translocation through the plant to maximize the effectiveness of the active ingredients and accelerate weed control.

Wiebe’s name was drawn at an event held at Agri-Trade in Red Deer on November 11 hosted for Believe the Power contest entrants. Based upon his Traxos purchases this past season, he had 14 entries in the draw.
