Why a change in fungicide strategy is needed :
Requirements for higher yields and quality, together with concerns about loss of performance of barley fungicide chemistry, and the predominance of Ramularia and ‘barley spotting’, have all created a clear need for innovation
in barley disease control.
Historic shifts in Rhynchosporium and net blotch to triazoles in a number European countries have already resulted in reduced field performance from several key active ingredients. Similarly strobilurin chemistry has shown itself to be vulnerable to sensitivity changes.
