The three introductions - Dark Caliente® Hot Coral, Orange and Pink – are all notable for their dark foliage, which complements the bright, freely produced blooms perfectly. The ground cover Calientes® have robust, bushy growth which cascades gently as the season progresses, and have the advantage of oedema-resistance.
The extensive selection of colours in the Calibrachoa hybrida Callie® series is further enhanced with the launch of Callie® Painted Pink and Callie® Mango, both of which have the characteristic earliness, heat-tolerance and ability to perform in overcast conditions of the whole range of these popular container plants.
Two new colours – Blue and Purple – bring to six the Petunia Sanguna® Mini range offered by the company for the 2012 season. All are very early, free flowering, strongly branching and have only a low PGR requirement. A striking addition to the larger flowered Sanguna® series is Double Violet Vein. As with other Sangunas®, no pinching is needed and it is well suited to high density production.
Bidens Solaire® Semidouble Compact is a valuable addition to the series of these increasing popular container plants. This early flowering form has large, attractive flowers and can be produced at high density.
Other introductions from FloriPro Services™ for 2012 include the elegant Euphorbia hypericifolia Euphoric™, which produces clouds of small white flowers on freely branching plants and two new colours, White and Yellow, in the large flowered Lantana Bandana® series.
The mainly pink and purple tones of the Osteospermum Tradewinds® series of free branching and floriferous plants are joined by three new shades. Light Bronze, Yellow and Cinnamon will give consumers even greater choice in these delightful patio and bedding subjects.
The 2012 Summer Brochure also features a strong selection of perennials, notable among which are the new Campanula cochleariifolia Swinging Bells Blue and Swinging Bells White. Both are uniform selections, well suited to edging beds and borders, and flowering in June and July without vernalisation.
