Adaptation 

Differences in organisms that help them to live in their habitats (e.g. tiger's camouflage).

 

Carnivore

An organism that only eats meat.

 

Competition

When two or more animals or plants are fighting over the same resource.

 

Consumer

The top of the food chain normally a carnivore.

 

Extinction

When there are no more of a plant/animal left.

 

Food Chain

The order in which organisms eat each other.

 

Food Web

A more complex food chanin which includes all animals and plants in a habitat.

 

Green

The colour of grass and tree leaves!

 

Habitat

Where the organism lives.

 

Herbivore

An organism that only eats plants.

 

Omnivore

An organism that eats both meats and plants.

 

Organism

A living thing, such as animals, plants and fungus.

 

Plant

An organism that produces oxygen for humans to breathe.

 

Predator

An animal that eats other animals.

 

Prey

The animals that get eaten by the predators.

 

Woodland

Collection of trees.
