Aphid Management System

Aphid Management System

Syngenta offers the industry’s first fully-integrated Aphid Management System™ (AMS™) to help soybean growers safely and effectively control yield-robbing soybean aphid infestations. NK® brand AMS soybeans deliver easy, risk-free, season-long aphid control by combining multiple modes of action.

If left untreated, soybean aphids can overtake soybean plants, spread viruses and reduce yields by 50 percent or more. Aphids can colonize soybean fields quickly and populations can double in two days and reach as high as 1,000 or more aphids per plant. Based on Syngenta Agronomy research trials, NK brand AMS soybeans deliver the following:

• Season-long aphid control
• Delayed infestation by up to two to three weeks
• Increased yields of up to 5.4 bu/A under heavy pressure

The combination of multiple technologies reduces the risk of resistance development and maximizes soybean yield and performance. In addition, one of the technologies is CruiserMaxx® Beans insecticide/fungicide seed treatment, which has proven to enhance plant vigor while protecting against seedling diseases and other soybean insects.

In addition, the AMS assurance program provides growers with additional peace of mind and demonstrates that Syngenta stands behind its fully integrated system. If the aphid population exceeds economic thresholds, Syngenta will back this system by providing up to $5/acre for an Endigo® ZC insecticide treatment.
