Corn insects are dropping like flies. Grow more corn. Agrisure Viptera 3220
Hybrids containing the Agrisure Viptera® 3220 trait stack or the Agrisure Viptera 3220 E-Z Refuge™ trait stack contain the breakthrough Agrisure Viptera trait for unsurpassed control of the multi-pest complex including corn earworm, along with dual modes of action against multiple above-ground lepidopteran pests and corn borer. The Agrisure Viptera 3220 trait stack offers a five percent structured refuge in the Midwestern Corn Belt of the United States.

Agrisure Viptera 3220 E-Z Refuge trait stack offers integrated refuge with 95 percent seed of a corn hybrid containing the Agrisure Viptera 3220 trait stack and 5 percent seed of a hybrid without insect control traits. This blend enables growers to meet refuge requirements as specified by the EPA for managing insect resistance. Both seed hybrids in the package feature tolerance to glyphosate herbicides. Growers desiring to plant Agrisure Viptera 3220 E-Z Refuge in cotton-growing regions will need to plant a supplemental 20 percent refuge.

In addition to providing growers with convenient insect control, through its control of ear-feeding insects, the Agrisure Viptera 3220 E-Z Refuge trait stack has shown to protect corn against the development of mycotoxins (all fungal toxins, including aflatoxin), estimated to cause crop losses of $932 million annually in the United States alone*. Aflatoxin, which can harm humans and animals when found in grain at concentrations above an accepted threshold, is a byproduct of fungal infections. These infections frequently are found at sites of insect damage. The breakthrough insect control provided by the Agrisure Viptera trait has been shown to keep damaging aflatoxins from robbing growers of both grain in the field and revenue at the elevator.
