Our Finance Management Program opens up the opportunity to pursue development tailored to your needs. You’ll spend three years in a dynamic and challenging working environment. And you’ll benefit from insights and experience across numerous roles in different parts of our business. You’ll learn first-hand about targeted Decision Support, for example, see how a multinational Treasury operates successfully, and be closely involved in Mergers and Acquisitions work.

The Syngenta program is about real responsibility from Day 1. We work in over 90 countries worldwide. So those three years may also include a role outside Switzerland. That could, for example, be in an emerging market with limited infrastructure but exciting growth ambitions. Or in a large regional center, with all the international complexities that that involves. Overall, our program is designed to lead everybody who completes it into interesting positions within the company.

All this time, you’ll be working for a world leader in a vital sector: agriculture. With global population increasing rapidly, growers have more and more people to feed. Natural resources such as land and water are limited. So agriculture has to raise its yields of quality crops. Syngenta already provides a unique combination of modern technology to help growers meet that challenge – from seeds to crop protection products. Developing tomorrow’s leaders

Developing people is a major Syngenta strength. We run a personal plan for every graduate Finance recruit. He or she regularly discusses progress and prospects with a line manager and an additional mentor. At the same time, a special group of senior Finance managers reviews all the plans with Human Resources every two months.

Parallel to on-the-job training, we actively support you in obtaining additional financial qualifications, such as CIMA, CFA or ACCA.

Whom are we looking for?

Syngenta sets high standards for its Finance Management Program. We recruit talented graduates of all nationalities, with a strong academic record and good communication skills. As well as English, you should ideally speak at least one other relevant language fluently. We are looking for people who are energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about what they do, people excited by the challenges of working in an international business that puts a premium on performance. You should already have demonstrated that in work experience at home and abroad. And now you should be excited by the markets in which Syngenta operates, and by the way we do business.
