Ein neues Forum
Syngenta und die European Landowners’ Organization (ELO) organisierten am 27. März 2008 ein Forum zur Zukunft der Landwirtschaft. Dort wurden die wichtigsten Herausforderungen dieses Bereichs adressiert, notwendige Reaktionen diskutiert und Übereinkünfte erzielt. Experten wie Franz Fischler (frühere EU-Landwirtschaftskommission), Jos Delbeke (Stellvertretender Generaldirektor, DG Environment), Stefan Tangermann (OECD), John Atkin (COO Syngenta) und Claire Papazoglou (Director, Birdlife) trafen rund 350 Vertreter aus Politik, Zulassungsbehörden, Agri-Food Industrie, NGOs und Verbraucherverbänden im Hinblick auf die Notwendigkeit von Zielsetzungen für die europäische Landwirtschaft des 21. Jahrhunderts.
Im Rahmen des Forums fand eine Pressekonferenz mit Franz Fischler, Vorsitzender des Forums, Corrado Pirzio-Biroli, President der RISE Foundation und John Atkin, COO Crop Protection Products Syngenta statt.
