Syngenta Bioline in the UK - Little Clacton

Telstar Nursery, Little Clacton is the Head Office of Syngenta Bioline where we breed predators and parasites for use in controlling pests in crops of vegetables, fruit, flowers and ornamental crops. We ship live insects all over the world from the site.

About Little Clacton

Telstar Nursery at Little Clacton is our Head Office location, all the key functions of the business are based on site; production, development, finance, sales, HR and IT. Telstar Nursery, where we are based, was built in 1964 to grow tomatoes. It was purchased by the company in 1999 for use as a breeding plant for beneficial insects and mites, since then it has undergone extensive development of new breeding and product despatch facilities. There are 66 people plus extra seasonal workers employed at the site.

Today more than 30 different species of beneficial insects and mites are produced in greenhouses and climate controlled rooms. The site needs to produce billions of insects and mites each week to meet customer demand. The majority of Bioline products are sold to commercial producers of vegetables, flowers and fruit. Beneficial predators and parasites are exported all over the world from Little Clacton. The site is located near to ferry ports and international airports.

How to find us

Directions by road

From Colchester
From Colchester, take the A133 following signs for Clacton. About 9 miles outside Colchester, take the first left at the roundabout onto Progress Way (B1442), signposted Harwich. At the next roundabout take the first left onto London Road (B1441). After 0.5 miles, turn right onto Holland Road. The Bioline site is about 1.5 miles along Holland Road.

From Ipswich
From Ipswich, head south on the A12. Leave the A12 at junction 29 and join the A120 heading east, signposted Harwich and Clacton. After 5 miles join the A133 and follow signs for Clacton. After another 7 miles, take the first left at the roundabout onto Progress Way (B1442), signposted Harwich. At the next roundabout take the first left onto London Road (B1441). After 0.5 miles, turn right onto Holland Road. The Bioline site is about 1.5 miles along Holland Road.
