Product description
Phytoline p contains the predatory mite Phytoseiulus persimilis. This well known predator will eat large numbers of the two-spotted mite Tetranychus urticae. It is a standard treatment in many crops, particularly tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries and ornamentals. It is available in a range of pack sizes including the 500ml Shaker Bottle and the 30ml Vial Hot-Spot pack that comes with a Flip-Top Cap for dosing specific areas of crop. 125ml bottle formulations can be used with mite application machinery. General Information
This predator is effective at a wide temperature range above 14°C and can be used outdoors as well. The adults and young stages feed voraciously on adults and eggs of the two spotted spider-mite and populations of Phytoseiulus increase dramatically at 20°C. At temperatures over 30°C the spider-mite growth rate will overtake that of the Phytoseiulus. It is important to start control measures as mites emerge from diapause in the spring, and to ensure elimination of the pest in autumn before the pest mites go into diapause.
How to use Phytoline p
Immediately before opening, rotate the container gently to distribute the mites evenly through the vermiculite.
500ml Bottle (for large areas):
Use at the rate of 4 mites per m² as one or more applications. 1 bottle is sufficient for 500m².
Phytoline p Vials (Hot-Spot treatment):
20 mites per m².
- Open each vial when ready to use
- Apply the mites repeatedly by inverting the vial over the spidermite infested leaves
- Each inversion delivers a measured amount of vermiculite
- Close the Flip Cap when not dosing the crop
- Leave the empty vial open on infected plants to allow any remaining predators to escape
Suitable for all greenhouse plants and many outdoor crops.
