From product development to on-farm stewardship, Syngenta is committed to excellence across all our operations.

Managing health, safety and environmental (HSE) risks is critical to the smooth operation of our production sites. HSE strategies and policies are developed at Group level. Strong HSE practices are central to the way we operate, and meeting the Syngenta HSE Standards is therefore a core responsibility of every leader in the company.

We expect our suppliers to live up to the same HSE standards we set ourselves. The long-standing relationships we build with our suppliers help us ensure these standards are upheld.

Syngenta’s products have the potential to respond to many of the world’s most pressing challenges. There are, however, some inherent risks – to humans and the environment – in the production, use and disposal of our products. We manage these risks carefully, and provide appropriate safeguards and training for people who have contact with any potentially hazardous substances. See Stewardship for more information.
