Before joining Syngenta in the spring of 2006, I had 13 years of international experience in marketing roles with companies as diverse as Thomson Multimedia in Paris, Diageo in North America and Nestlé Cereals in Latin America.

As an American with fluency in several languages and an MBA from INSEAD, I always wanted to work in international business. I have enjoyed this about my roles in Syngenta, as Head of Marketing for our Flowers business and previously as Crop Protection Marketing Manager for Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region, both based at our Basel headquarters.

As Head of Marketing for Flowers I am leading the cross-functional Global Portfolio Team and a team of Global Portfolio and Brand Managers, all working towards the common goal of developing crop strategies to enhance our leadership position while maximizing our profitability. In my former role as Marketing Manager for Crop Protection EAME, a key achievement was leading the re-design and re-launch of our Liquid Pack range.

The S-pac project was designed to deliver a new EAME liquid pack range which is user and supply friendly. The goal was to develop a product which is corporately differentiated and consistent, improves our quality image to be in line with the Syngenta brand and reduces counterfeits. The diverse team on this complex project achieved all these goals whilst displaying the Syngenta spirit of innovation and striving to represent the Syngenta brand as the best in the industry. Customers, growers, employees and the press are now welcoming this industry-leading, safe, simple and secure packaging range.
