Field Crops

The global field crop seed market is valued at approximately US$10-12 billion. Syngenta has the third largest market share based on sales.

Our Field Crops business includes most major crops: corn (maize), soybean, sugar beet, sunflower and winter oilseed rape. Developed using advanced breeding methods, these seeds are tailored for individual geographical regions to be high yielding and reliable. Included in the selection are seeds that are genetically enhanced with built-in insect resistance or herbicide tolerance.

Syngenta has a number of leading brands - NK® and GOLDEN HARVEST® for corn, NK® oilseeds, HILLESHÖG® sugar beet and several cereals brands.
